my love with his little ones

This seems like yesterday. To think that 1 year, nine months and twenty six days later he would be gone is completely surreal. I miss him so ferociously. I sometimes don't know how I have made it this far from that day.

If only I lived close by, I'd stop over to give you a huge hug.

I don't think I shared my only memory of your husband? It was quite a few years ago, probably when you used to work at the pub?

I was out with my friend Kim Van in the lounge there, it wasn't an extremely busy nite.. (or not that I remember?) and your husband, I am certain before he was your husband.. gets up onto a table - which by the way were not very strong ones, not sure how they held such a fella? and takes off his shirt and starts dancing, fully confidant & proud like he had done it many of times before (I had only seen this once).. maybe he practiced in front of the bathroom mirror? Like he was a pro male dancer.. heeh. Um not that I've seen those before either!

But I had asked Kim who he was.. she laughed, "That's Jeff!" Like I was to have known already.

That is my one and only memory I have of your husband..I am sure you had to have been there... smiling picturing your future children!

I have been reading your blog for awhile know and I caheck often. I admire the way you can write about your feelings so honestly. I footage is such a treasure although I am sure it is bittersweet. My husband is from Ontario and travles a lot. I know you said Jeff was a fisherman and I can relate a lot to the lifestyle you were used to before his death.
I don't usually leave comments just wanted you to know I think of you often. Take care, Cami

Jackie - I've never written before either, and I found your blog from Matt's. That video was so sweet. I love how your husband was stroking Briar's head with his thumb the whole time...such a natural and loving Daddy. My heart goes out to you. Hang in there.

I read you often, but I don't think I've ever commented. I just had to today.

I love the way Liv says "Prince Phillip" and Jeff's face just lights up with that big, beautiful grin...and he puts his head on her arm as if too say, "You are so funny, my daughter - you light up my life." He looks so overwhelmingly happy, there with his precious two. My heart aches for you in your moments of grief. What wonderful memories you have of him. Thank you for sharing with us.
