warmth

There are few things that can't be eased by the feeling of warm water on your body. Whether it is a cup of tea, a bubble bath, a hot water bottle or even warm water with which to wash your hands, it helps to soothe the body and somehow, the soul.

Is it just me?

I couldn't agree more, especially on a cold winter day!

I definitely agree - it seems to take all that away.

It's not just you. I remember the first shower after my daughter was born as one of the most healing things I've ever done. As a busy mom, showers are one of my few indulgences.

Sorry for deleting my previous comment. It had a typo that was making me neurotic, so I fixed it. Now I see that my deletion remains, which is worse than the typo. Perhaps I should go have a cup of tea. ;-)

Yes, you are not alone. Nothing quite like it to wash away emotions, warm the heart and make you feel safe. I wish those things for you during this time, even if they are fleeting. I am thinking of you and praying. :)

Totally agree! My husband and Cohen have been violently sick with the stomach flu the last 2 days and this morning I got in a long hot shower to wash away the exhaustion - so great!

Hi Jackie:

No.....it's not just you. I find all the warm things in life to be SO soothing to the muscles and the spirit. Nothing like a hot bath or a hot cup of tea to ease life's worries : )

Hugs,

Barb

No, it's universal, well, in my universe anyway.

I love my shower, and all of its various settings.

I'm with you - I looove me a hot shower and feel as if I can once again conquer the world - or at least my living room - after I've had one. I only wish my two children didn't love them as much as me and try to get in with me when I'm in there trying to relax!!

I love a hot shower...so relaxing. My husband laughs at me because I take a shower with the bathroom light turned off. I have the light shining in from the bedroom or from the window just enough to light the room. It is just so peaceful and calm.
