run tomorrow

I've been in Minnesota for 24 hours. I've met Matt's parents, Liz's parents and a lot of the creeps. Gotta say, they are ALL fabulous and so kind and wonderful! More than I had expected. Much, much more.
Tomorrow, we'll be heading out for the 5k and the next night for the Gala. I have a speech to prepare and want to do my best to help the foundation in any possible way that I can....Not just because they have been wonderful to me, but also because I want to be able to help others who face this scary and lonely ride.
So, if you can, please check out The Liz Logelin site. If you can donate a few dollars, bid on an auction or even attend an event, I, Matt and so very many others will be so grateful. Thank you in advance for ANYTHING you can do, even if it is kind and empathetic thoughts. It all counts.

Hey Jackie - First-time commenter, long-time lurker here. Just wanted to let you know that O and B are doing great. We spent the morning at Colliery Dam on the bikes, T threw sticks for Freckles and pooped him out, O rode over a salamander (much to the kids' dismay/fascination). Spent the afternoon on the 'beautiful road'; O drew houses for everyone (B and M wanted to be room mates). They had a great orange bath, ate a tonne of lasagna and are now sleeping hard.
Rock your speech tomorrow and see you soon.

Jackie - it was great meeting you tonight at the Gala. Your speech was wonderful. It was the first time I heard your story and I was amazed at how beautifully you spoke about something so gutwrenching. I was determined to make it through the night without crying, but you ruined that. Thanks a lot. ;)

I'm with Marketing Mama -- my only tears of the night. That was one hell of a speech.

So so so so glad you were able to come to the MN and play with us all weekend. I know you were thrown into a lot of chaos with event preparations but I'm so happy you were there. Your speech was perfect and led to a fantastic gala finale. Can't wait til your next visit!

I have been following Matt's and your blog for a while now... I am imspired by both of you. Not because I have experienced a similar loss, but because of the strength you both show. I know the blog world is small, but I heard about a family that has experienced the same loss you have. Maybe you all can help http://bandssullivan.blogspot.com/
