trouble accepting help

Oh, all of you are so very wonderful. I so want to go to the conference but as I am sure you can guess, things are tight in the financial department. I am so very touched by all of your offers to assist my quest to get down to San Diego in July. But how do I accept that help? I feel so completely grateful but worry that if I accept your help....I don't know, that it will be tacky or wrong in some way. I have struggled with this for the last while trying to come up with a solution. So, if you feel that you'd like to help, I would appreciate it so very completely and if it turns out that manage to make it on my own, any money donated will be sent to the Liz Logelin Foundation in Jeff's name. Does that sound okay? And again, thank you my dear sweet readers. I often wonder how I managed to get such a fabulous group of people reading my ridiculous ponderings on a regular basis. Thank you for everything you have done, be it reading the blog, leaving comments, sending 'happy mail', helping financially or sending good thoughts. I love you all and would have struggled far more without the love from you. Thank you
As Diane suggested, I am posting my email address ( motheringnature@hotmail.com ) and if you feel that you would like to you can send some help through Paypal.
P.S. I hope that this post does not sound awful or greedy or wrong as it is a luxury - not a necessity....But, oh, how I want to connect with others in the same boat....AND meet Matt in person.
Thank you again.....

oh jackie, it's not greedy or tacky in the least!! if someone offers help, by all means take it! :) (and the donation to LLF in jeff's name is a fabulous idea. you're too thoughtful!)

and of course you & matt should meet. i'm certain he'll be just as excited to find out you're attending as you are about meeting him in person!!

People won't help if they don't want to. THANK YOU for putting this out there Jackie.

Jackie all we(the readers)do day by day is read your broken heart. We come back day by day hoping and wishing that one day you'll find peace in your heart. (The money) Is a way we can reach out and Help you heal. Money doesn't help anything but what it buys(plane ticket to meet Matt and reach out to people that have lost loved ones) ...is priceless....

Jackie, I am so glad you have made the decision to accept help to get to the conference. I can't do much, but I have already sent a little something to your email address through PayPal. Hope that it helps.

You soooooo deserve to go on a trip. Are you flying or drivng? Are the kiddos coming too? My kids have been saving change in a Milk jug for our future trip to Cali. Judging by their progress you should accept all the help you can get. People don't offer help if they don't want to help.

most people have trouble asking for help. i know i sure do! we'd like to think, no matter the circumstances, that we can manage. sometimes we just can't do it alone - there is no shame in admitting it, though its still hard to do so.

i'm a really picky "friender". i dont want a million surface friends. i want a handful of people i can rely on when things are awesome and when things are tough. i want to be there for them as well. you can't do that for just anybody - if you're not freely giving, you're not giving for the right reason.

i'm happy to help - totally giving freely. i pray you get to that conference.

Jackie, I don't know if you saw my comment a few posts down (I don't even remember which one now), but I just wanted to thank you for reaching out to me in my blog. I really do hope you're able to go - I'd love to get to meet you, too.

Jackie -

So glad you are accepting the help to get to the conference. It will be so wonderful for you and Matt to meet in person. He is just like how his blog reads.

I will be keeping you extra close in my thoughts this week. Hang in there and know you have lots of shoulders out here if you need them.

Jackie,
Thank you allowing us to help you get to San Diego. We read your blog, cry for your pain, rejoice in your moments of sunshine and are honored to help in this small way.

Jackie-I am sooo glad that you have chosen to accept our help. I know that is difficult to do, but please just accept it in the manner it was intended. I probably speak for all of us when I say this...If we lived closer, we would stop by and take the kids off your hands for a while, bring you dinner, offer to do laundry, whatever. Since many of us live so far away, this is our way of helping. We WANT to do this. You are not being greedy or selfish or ANYTHING! You deserve this, you really do. Please just accept it and have a wonderful time. I think the donation to LLF is a great idea, but only if there is $ left over. Don't scrimp and save while you are at the convention. Enjoy your time there and do whatever makes you feel good. We are doing this for you because we want to...no other reason. I am so happy to see that you have accepted our help and hope that you have a truly wonderful time. You are in my thoughts and prayers this week (and always)

i am so proud of you. is that weird? a stranger being proud of you? well, i am. thank you for letting us do this for you. hopefully i speak for most of us when i say that we wouldn't be here if we didn't want to be of help and support. and this is actually great, cause it gives some of us a way to help when we might not always feel we know how.

thinking of you this week. and sending you warm thoughts...
