she's climbing the walls

Liv had expressed a desire to rock climb many times after climbing a portable rock climbing wall. This weekend, she started lessons. She LOVED it. Immediately after, she was asking when her next lesson was. It was awesome watching her climb and smiling from ear to ear. She looked so tiny on those walls. My only regret is that I can't go out there with her. Briar is too young to climb yet but I think it'll be a stellar activity for the three of us to do when he is a bit older...

Not a big fan of climbing, although my child is. I don't mind the coming down bit, in fact, I quite like it.

Good luck with it, and I've enjoyed the first read of your blog.

Wow, that looks like so much fun! I can see why Liv wanted to do it.

I also miss out on lots of stuff I'd like to do with my child because the little one's too young. Someday, right?

Rock climbing is wonderful. You may not be able to take Briar yet, but my kids were both into bouldering by age 2 at the latest ... their daddy's genes of course, I'm afraid of heights (but I like bouldering too).

But what a fantastic accomplishment for Liv, good for her!

How cute - go Liv!

In another life I went out with a climbing instructor so I was hanging about on ropes most weekends. Not great with heights but I enjoyed (some of) it.x

Oh, my six year old daughter has been wanting to try this too...this is inspiring. She saw the photos over my shoulder, and was curious to know who the "lucky girl" was.

Good for you Liv!

You haven't posted for a bit now so I hope you are doing alright. As always, my thoughts are with you,
Bonnie

My gym has an amazing climbing wall area. Lio is just now old enough to do it and has fallen in love wtih it.

I've only climbed real mountains, not a wall. I've been turned onto what a fun activity this is for my guys that may help prepare him for more adventures. Shan
