I've started this cross-stitch. In the past, I have regularly not finished cross-stitches. I am hoping that if I blog about it and regularly take photos of my progress, it will give me incentive to complete it. I love the design and even know exactly where I will hang it. So here goes! I'll occasionally post about it....If you don't see it for awhile, please remind me. ;)

Could we ever forget you? Lol! Good luck with the cross stitch, i'm planning to start doing something craft wise this year, don't know exactly what yet, minor details! I'll make sure to ask you how you're getting on periodically and if/when i get to start mine you can bully, sorry ENCOURAGE, me too! Easy eh? xXx
Cross stitching is sort of a meditative experience, and if you end up with a lovely piece of framed artwork at the end, it sort of is a therapeutic double whammy! This is a lovely pattern. I love it and can't wait to see how it looks when you are finished. Really....stitching is a way to calm your nerves and work out your problems in your head. Perhaps I should pick it up again. Instead, I have become interested in crochet again since my 18 year old daughter wanted to learn. It is relaxing too....and relaxing is something I seem to do so rarely. Had a good laugh over making Kate (18) a hat. We soon realized that it would never stretch over her or my large noggins, and I ended up turning it into a cute little wool baby hat for my 4 month old niece, complete with a cute crocheted flower. Creating things is such fun.
Hugs to you Jackie and I'll be bugging you to finish this lovely piece of stitchery!
I hope your day is going well and all that nasty snow has melted away for you : )

Oh!
I'll be reminding you, red-work is my fav! XXxx
that is so pretty, you have give me inspiration, not to pull out ALL my old unfinished cross stitches but to start a new one!!!
Took me 1 year to finish Bryden's stocking and 5 years to finish Elayna's at this rate Lily will be 12 by the time she gets hers done.
(De-lurking)
I have been wanting to start a new project, but I just couldn't find one that "fit" the feelings I needed to work out while stitching. Where in the world did you find that pattern?? Did you start at the top? Have I been doing it wrong all of these years (starting in the center)? Makes more sense to start at the top though! Okay, where, oh where, did you find that?!?!
Hi guys,
I found the pattern in a small local store BUT I found it on the net as well... http://www.wyndhamneedleworks.com/Long_Dog_Samplers/the_token.html
I usually DO start in the middle, but this time, with it being so flippin' huge, I thought WTF. I'll start at the top. Then if I don't finish the WHOLE thing, I can frame the portion that I did!
Happy New Year! I hope this year brings some peace and joy to your lives...and I never manage to finish any needlework, so now i don't even bother with the accountability issues involved in writing about it! Take care...
Yay! Yay! Yay! Thank you for posting that link!!! Hope you all are staying warm where you are. I'm beyond ready for warmer weather to come. *sigh*
