I sent you a long response to your last post yesterday and it's not showing up : ( I hope you got it anyway.
Cross-stitch does seem to take forever.....but years later when you look at that finished project the pain of the time it took you to finish it will have subsided. Kind of like childbirth!!!
Hugs to you from the frozen tundra of Indiana. Hope you are staying warm up there in Canada.
Hang in there Jackie. You are an amazing woman and I admire your strength. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and your life with all of us stranger/friends from far far away.
Hahaha! I totally feel the same way about cross-stitch. (Which is why I have so many partially finished projects hidden shamefully in the bottom of my sewing basket...shhhhhh!)
But that pattern is so beautiful. Just think how proud you'll feel when its done. You can do it!
It will take forever, but it is so pretty! I don't have the patience for cross stitch. I do crochet, but only about one project a year! The last blanket I made took 4 months....
Clever you. i would never be able to something like that, i have no patience or, more importantly, skill. It will look amazing when it's done and you don't strike me as a lady who gives up that easily! xXx
Okay, now you have shamed me into confessing...I too have an unfinished cross stitch project! And now I am feeling compelled to get it out and finish it. It is a birth sampler for my youngest son...he turns 17 on the 25th! Shame on me!!!
This blog contains a fair amount of swearing, painful and difficult subject matter. If you have objections of any kind, I believe it's your right to not agree. But, please, keep those objections to yourself and keep yourself busy withsomething else.
A few musings of a homeschooling, crafting, neurotic, organic loving and, most of all, kiddo adoring mommy...I've now become a widow. My best friend and husband died of a pulmonary embolism on March 25th, 2008. This blog has now become a place for me to mentally unload and try to figure out how to do this and who I am without him.

The pattern is so pretty and I love the color red. Where's it going to go when you are finished with it?
I haven't done any cross- stitich since I was about 14 years old. Wonder if I could re-learn? Hmmm.
How pretty!!! Keep going- you'll feel great for having made something so great! It's all in the process... :)
