i love creeps

I've inherited the 'Creeps' from Matt's blog. These amazingly kind and thoughtful women have warmed my heart. Not only do they make such supportive and loving comments on my blog (which I love to get), I recently started to receive 'happy mail' from some of them. I walked to our mailbox (we are on a rural route) to find some AWESOME and HAPPY mail from the Creeps last week. These letters and parcels made me cry - happy tears. The kind of tears you shed when you know that someone cares and it's okay to 'feel'. Thank you so very, very much, you Creeps.

Also, during 'Shit Week', someone left an amazing gift hanging from my front door. I do not know who did this but I am so very thankful. I don't know if it was a coincidence or if the person knew that I had found a painting at a fabulous little gallery that made my heart ache - the boat that Jeff had fished on for years and was fishing on when we started dating. I have SO very many fond memories of this boat and the location. I thought it could be a way to keep the history of Jeff's life on the sea accessible to the kids...and me. I loved this painting and was trying to figure out a way to 1. pay for it 2. justify the payment of it. I never did manage to buy it, but I so love this painting of the little boat. I had hung it in 'just the right spot' within two minutes of finding it at the front door. Thank you to whoever you are. I absolutely cherish it.

I am glad that we could put a smile on your face - and I suppose the tears too - as long as you promise that they are happy tears. You are in our thoughts and our hearts Jackie and there are more people than you could ever know rooting for you ~
Have a marvelous and creepy day!

Creeps ARE rad.
YOU are rad too.
Your original creeps are rad as well.
That painting is the ultimate in rad'ness and an awesome anonymous gift. That person is an honorary Creep.
Keep on rockin', Jackie, you're moving forward, one breath at a time.
*hugs*

The Creeps DO love you! So glad that the "Happy Mail" has brought a smile to your face. Sometimes its the little things....
So, so awesome about the painting! Whoever they are, they are a Creep in my book. (so is neurotic chic....)
I know (ok, I don't KNOW, but I imagine) how hard all of this has been, and we all just want you to know that you have people out here that care...all over the place!

Neurotic Chic is definitely creepy - maybe not in the true Matt sense, but definitely creepy in the freaky person sense. {{wink}}

it's great to hear that a perfect stranger can shed some light in your world... if only temporarily. we are all pulling for you, that is for sure.

take good care.

Everyone needs a set of Creeps in their lives! I'm so glad we are not weirding you out with our attentions! : )

I took my son to pre-school for the first time today and it about broke my heart...and I don't have anywhere CLOSE to the extenuating circumstances you do. I can only imagine the choices you find yourself in every single day. I am so proud of you for keeping on!

Good luck to Liv at school this week...keep us posted.

I love Creeps too! So glad that the happy mail is indeed, making you happy - even if only for a brief moment.
Big hugs to you, and to Olivia! What a brave little girl she is. With you guiding her, she's going to be just fine - I have no doubt.
There's a lot of us out here that think of you often and are pulling for you Jackie, hang in there.

I also found your blog through Matts, and I check it every few days. This is the first time I have left a comment (haven't left one on Matt's either) because I just feel like my words are inadequate to express how much I admire you both for getting up in the morning and making it through the day with courage, witt, and strength. Today, I decided that, even if my words are not the greatest, you might like to know that there is someone else out there that is thinking about you and saying a prayer for you and your little family. your doing a great job, Jackie!

I hope Liv is having a good week at school. You are brave people. You are inspiring others with your strength and determination.
I continue to send ((Hugs)) from Wisconsin.

Just another reader from Matt's blog who lives in Van (well the suburbs) and thinks of you and your beautiful family often.

My heart aches for you and for your little one as she struggles to find a place at school. She is not manipulating, she is looking to stay close to the one place her heart finds peace and safety.

You are an amazing mama and your parenting philosophy has made me rethink the way I approach my 1 year old, so thank you.

If you are ever on the coast, you have a stranger who is willing to lend a helping hand - in whatever way you need.

I have been reading you blog for months now, first as awindow into your homeschooling world and now sending extra prayers your way in the wake of your loss. I find strength in your words, altho our lives are very different and wish we were closer because I think we'd be friends. Many times I have wanted to send a note your way or a package to the kids but don't know where to send it....I know I am a stranger but is there an address I could send it to? Many hugs and good wishes to you...you are an amazing person!
